Next time you use the System for Award Management (SAM) to search contract opportunities or federal assistance listings, you’ll see the filters have changed.
No more links directly to Contracting Opportunities from the home page. Nope, you have some extra clicks now.
After you click on “Contracting” from the home page, you get the usual search page but you’ll notice that the domain selection is different. After entering a keyword or number, you’ll get the screen you see below.
SAM has moved the domain filter from the top of the left-hand menu to a ribbon of buttons just under the “Search Results” and “Saved Searches” buttons. Click to select the domain to search and see a list of subcategories for searches as well.
For example, under “Contracting” you now find “Contract Opportunities” and “Subcontract Reports”. Under “Federal Assistance” you now find “Assistance Listings” and “Subaward Reports”. (You get the idea)
